Course Summary

Whether you work in a club, pub, café, restaurant, bottle shop or brewery it is a legislative requirement to complete this course. In fact, any retail environment where alcohol is sold or served, even as a sample or product tasting, requires a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate. The RSA by CQUni TAFE can give you the skills and knowledge to confidently assist customers to drink within appropriate limits, assess alcohol affected customers and identify customers who should be refused sale or service. The learning material is easy to understand, providing engaging content and practical teachings that will have you assessed, qualified and ready to serve! Included in this course is the nationally recognised unit SITHFAB002 - Provide responsible service of alcohol. Upon completion you will be issued a CQUniversity statement of attainment, will requested by your employer. Additionally, you may also receive credit towards further hospitality studies.

Course Assessment Information

RPL - Students who have previous informal and formal learning need to advise their trainer/assessor prior to enrolment. If the student wishes to apply for an RPL they need to apply to the RPL Centre.
Credit transfer - If credit for relevant formal qualifications is sought, then the process will be actioned after the student has enrolled in at least one unit of competency as directed by the relevant trainer/assessor. The Trainer/Assessor will work with the student on their credit transfer application, and provide advice and support as necessary.
