Course Summary

The Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate is nationally recognised and is a compulsory requirement for anybody working in an environment where alcohol is available for purchase. RSA Certificate training includes the topics: Sell or service alcohol responsibly Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits Assess alcohol affected customers and identify customers to whom sale or service must be refused Refuse to provide alcohol Students undertaking this course will study the accredited unit SITHFAB002 - Provide responsible service of alcohol.

Student Outcomes, Career Opportunities and Occupations

1. Students will receive a Result of Assessment within 21 days of completion of each unit/module or within 21 days of the ‘close of study’ date.
2. Students who successfully complete all required units/modules will receive their qualification and an Academic Statement itemising all units/modules successfully completed.
3. Following receipt of written advice from the student (or teacher) that the student does not intend to complete the full course, the student will be issued with a Statement of Attainment listing all units/modules successfully completed.

As this course is a legislation requirement for those serving alcohol in their workplace, it is advantageous for those wanting to enter the hospitality industry, including jobs such as bar attendant and other roles associated with the serving of alcohol. A Statement of Attainment for Responsible Service of Alcohol Course from the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) will be issued on completion of this skill set.
