AVAT12014 - Aeronautical Flight Practice 2

General Information

Unit Synopsis

In Aeronautical Flight Practice 2 you will receive basic navigation flight training and basic instrument flight training. The flight training will be delivered by an approved external flight training provider. This unit will require you to synthesise the theory you have learnt in earlier study with flight practice while engaging in up to 30 hours of cross-country navigation experience in a small general aviation aeroplane. Before departure, you will develop a flight plan for your cross-country exercise. You will practise flight navigation techniques which will allow you to fly solo on cross-country navigation exercises. Upon the completion of your training flights, you will analyse and reflect on your navigation to improve your skills. You will also develop communication, analytical and presentation skills to review your flight training.
