Course Overview

The Master of Business Administration is generally regarded as the premier business qualification for practising managers and leaders. The MBA is a course for students from different countries, with prior work experience with varying employment backgrounds and designed to develop global management capabilities. The MBA (international) will greatly assist your understanding and application of best-practice management and business knowledge, from a strategic and cross cultural perspective, to improve organisational effectiveness. While undertaking the MBA (International), you will gain differing perspectives and approaches to current and emerging business issues through interaction with academics, colleagues and members of the business community, thus enabling you to competently lead, manage and understand the key aspects of business and organisations within a global context. This MBA (International)  provides the opportunities, skills and knowledge for you to develop your management and leadership responsibilities in a broad range of areas including strategy, cross cultural management,  marketing, people management, operations management, law and governance, economics and change management, along with the opportunity to develop advanced knowledge in a range of areas including E-commerce, Islamic Banking and Finance, Data Science, Public Administration/Public Private Partnerships, Project Management and Educational Leadership.

Academic Requirements

An undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognised University or equivalent.


English Language Proficiency Requirements

All students are required to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements of the course equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5.

For students articulating through the Bakrie University (Universitas Bakrie, Indonesia) pathway, the following will be accepted as meeting the English Language Requirements:

  • Successful completion of all Bakrie University units with an overall GPA of 65% or higher (applicants are required to provide evidence of completion within the last 5 years); AND
  • Letter of recommendation from the Head of Program – Bakrie University, endorsing the student’s English Language Proficiency

Assumed Knowledge

Students undertaking the MBA (International) are recommended to follow course planners to ensure that all core units and the specialisations are completed in a systematic and timely fashion.
